Technical Notes	System BIOS version 3.0 and above required to support Xeon E5-2600/1600 v2 series processors. Faster memory will clock down to run at optimal speed and voltage depending on processor model and number of modules installed. Kingston recommends installing K4 kits for optimal quad channel performance configurations when using Xeon CPU's. Due to Xeon chipset limitations Quad Rank memory will operate at 1066MHz with 1 DIMM per Channel or 800MHz with 2 DIMMs per Channel. Core i7 Extreme CPU's can ONLY use non-ECC UDIMM's. Xeon E5-1600/1600 v2 family of CPU's can ONLY use ECC UDIMMs or RDIMMs. Xeon E5-2600/2600 v2 family of CPU's can ONLY use ECC UDIMMs or RDIMMs or LRDIMMs Kingston offers Unbuffered ECC UDIMM, Registered RDIMM and Load Reduced LRDIMM memory modules. Modules of different memory types CANNOT be mixed within the same system. It is recommend that all installed memory be the same size, type, and speed. Please refer to the manual for additional memory instructions.
